You need to get out of the bucket this year and invest in yourself. That is my New Year's resolution. It can be difficult to decide to do something for your own self improvement without odd looks from your friends and family. I attended a property course on Saturday and that was one of the take aways from the day - "Invest in Yourself!". Too American for some. Not what we do in Scotland. Crabs in a bucket is a very Scotish attitude. You need to get out of the bucket and invest in yourself.

If you are interested in property, you could do worse than joining "The Scottish Property Meet" - a monthly networking event attended by likeminded property investors. Put away your scepticism and come along to the next meeting to be held at The Raddison on 21 January 2015. Even if you don't do networking I am sure that the key note speaker will leave you with a couple of nuggets making the night worthwhile.

I pitched up at the last meeting and listened to a talk by Richard Swan who spoke knowledgeably and with passion on the topic of "Productivity". Get a taster of what you can expect - Bricks and Mortar get a mention!

As I mentioned earlier, I attended a property course on Saturday and if you interested at all in the "Buy to Let" market then I would strongly recommend the one day course. SPM are holding another course shortly and I understand that the cost will be £197 for two places. I thought that it was good value and I certainly got alot out of the day.

Let me know if you are interested and I can let you have the details and pass your information on to the chaps at SPM.
