Choosing an Estate Agent - Price or Service?

We all have an amount of money that we are prepared to pay for the professionals in the selling process from solicitors, removal men, marketing, estate agents etc.

There is a fair amount of competion in the estate agent space at the moment. Gone it would appear is the 1% no negotiation tactic that estate agents used to have a monoply on.

But is it wise to nail the estate agent to the floor? After all they are the ones that are going to be negotiating the deal for you.

Price over service is the usual conundrum that you need to answer.
