But did you know that the technology behind this virtual currency is likely to have such a disrupting influence for many a profession. Think Uber for the professional classes and then some! The technology known at "block chain digital encryption technology" - I fear I have already lost some of you but bear with - has the ability to render blocks of data tamper proof by distributing them across "shared ledgers". We woke up last week to the news that a Swansea dentist is the first property buyer to exchange contracts digitally in a process which its promotors claim has the potential to remove the need for solicitors. This transaction completed 3 days after it went on the market!
